A little "thanks" will do
Bismillah.
Being a slave is horrible. Everyone might agree with it.
So, basically what does it mean by slave?
Go observe your housemaid. If you don't have one, go stalk one who have a housemaid.
Basically, slave is just like your housemaid. Or maybe worse. Slave is one who do chores or houseworks or laundry or cleaning stuffs or anything-you-want without any denial. And also perhaps without any appreciation.
How is life without appreciation?
I'm going to play a lot with our imagination so set our brain nicely and get ready.
Imagine a student who is suffering dyslexia and he/she tries very hard to read properly everyday. And then when he/she makes mistakes, he/she being curse with the teacher because he/she makes mistakes.
Imagine how does the student feels.
Horrible hmm?
That is how one feels when we treat someone like a slave.
We asked for their help, and okay they're willing to help, good! Then when they did just a little mistakes, we got angry like they made a huge sin. We started to curse and in some way, we prayed them some bad things.
Feeling good huh?
Just imagine how hurt you will be if you are in their shoes. Hurt enough, alright.
Then imagine how do they feel if they get just one simple 'thanks'? Imagine how do you feel when you are simply tired with all the tasks you have done and you get a 'thank you' plus a 'good job'?
Does a simple "thank you" burden us much for us to say it?
Does a simple "good job" turns down our reputation very bad?
Absolutely not.
Rasulullah appreciated others. He is the purest human in the entire century and he appreciate others. Who are we to do the opposite?

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He has not thanked Allah who has not thanked people.”
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud 4811
This hadith basically told us about appreciating others. One who doesn't thanks others means that he/she doesn't thanks Allah. Becoming the member who are in the majority group.
Who are they, then?
قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ
"most of them do not show gratitude."
Astaghfirullah. Na'udzubillah. May Allah protect us.
Before too late, we can still change. We have the chance everyday.
Make 'Thank you' as our habit. It is not only for your own gratitude towards Allah, it is also for other's happiness. We get the reward, In Shaa Allah, every time we make other's happy.
Our sins are too much to count. Do we need to increase more?
We know the answer. Go ahead and keep on thinking.
May Allah forgive us, the forever sinner.
